Kitchener, ON, November 30, 2017—One of Kitchener’s best-known restaurants, The Berlin announces the hiring of a new Executive Chef, Benjamin Lillico.
“Benjamin has an unparalleled understanding of local ingredients and palates and will keep the elements of The Berlin that our guests know and love while using his expertise and creativity to take The Berlin to the next level,” said Ryan Lloyd-Craig, owner of The Berlin.
Former co-owner and Executive Chef, Jonathan Gushue is leaving The Berlin to pursue new opportunities.
“We would like to thank Jonathan for his tremendous contribution to The Berlin and we wish him much success in the next chapter in his career,” added Lloyd-Craig
Benjamin Lillico is one of the region’s top chefs with several awards and achievements under his belt. He was a recent recipient of the Top 30 Under 30 Award with the Ontario Hostelry Institute.

He has also led kitchens with The Charcoal Group Restaurants and mentorship roles with Conestoga College. Chef Lillico was the Team Captain of Junior Culinary Team
